
The Old Mill started its life as a Paper Mill
way back in 1813.
In 1827 the Mill was split into a Corn Mill
and Paper Mill. By 1877 it had been converted into a full
Corn Mill.
The
last entry in the history books as a Mill was in 1890 soon
after this date the mill closed due to the transfer of business
to a local mill at Cornforth.
Since around this date The Mill has stood dormant,
over the last century its has been used for varying purposes.
Where as in the turn of the Millennium its was acquired by
the Key Inns Group.
The Old Mill now stands as a proud feature in
local history which has been transformed into one of the highest
quality Inns for miles around.
