The Old Mill started its life as a Paper Mill way back in 1813.

In 1827 the Mill was split into a Corn Mill and Paper Mill. By 1877 it had been converted into a full Corn Mill.

The last entry in the history books as a Mill was in 1890 soon after this date the mill closed due to the transfer of business to a local mill at Cornforth.

Since around this date The Mill has stood dormant, over the last century its has been used for varying purposes. Where as in the turn of the Millennium its was acquired by the Key Inns Group.

The Old Mill now stands as a proud feature in local history which has been transformed into one of the highest quality Inns for miles around.
